Habanero Caribbean Red Pepper – Dried Whole

Twice as hot as the regular habanero! Its fruity flavor is a fine addition to make extra spicy salsas, marinades and for some very hot sauces. It originates from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Heat Level: Extra Super Hot. Scoville Heat Units about 400,000.

Dried & Flaked they are best blossomed in oil as a stew base. Dehydrated, they can be revitalized by a 15 minute soak in water, vinegar or a combination of both. Save the liquid for the sauce.
