Guiseppe Nardello brought this heirloom Chile type pepper from Italy to the United States over 120 years ago. They are fruity & sweet, being heatless you can use plenty. Grown from heirloom seeds on our farm in south-central Virginia, USA.

FLAKED peppers can be blossomed in oil for the rue base of dips, stews and sauces, releasing the full flavor. WHOLE peppers can be revitalized by a 15-minute soak in water, vinegar or a combination of both. Save the liquid for the sauce.


Our products are available for purchase here on our farm in south-central Virginia. Also, at scheduled local farmer’s markets, watch our banner for dates and events.

We start our own plants from GMO-free seeds, in locally produced mushroom compost. No pesticides, no herbicides, no preservatives, ever.
